DIGI-TEXX VIETNAM still continues digitizing services on Tet holidays
Lunar New Year, more commonly known by its shortened name ‘Tet’, is the most important holiday in Vietnam. This holiday is calculated on the cycle of the moon and is usually 20-50 days later than the New Year of the Solar Calendar. This year, Tet holiday schedule will take place from 1st to 5th of February.

In the point of view of Vietnamese, on this occasion, everything should be new or changed. Therefore, in about 10 days before Tet people often paint their houses, clean and make everything tidy. They also buy new clothes on this occasion. Tet is an opportunity for the people to return home for welcoming New Year together with their family.

Last day of the old year and the first three days of the New Year are the most important days of the Lunar New Year. The last day is often called ‘Tất Niên’ (New Year’s Eve). On this day, every family has dinner with the presence of all family members. In the middle night of this day (Giao Thừa), people prepare a feast at the transfer moment from the old year to the New Year. The first three days afterwards, people spend time to visit relatives and friends. Especially for the children, they all receive lucky money from the adults.
